Golden Sand - Kampos Marathokampou

Wonderful stay at the Golden Sand! Our room was immaculate and quite comfortable, and the setting of the hotel, with its lush gardens, was simply lovely. We were invited by the management to help ourselves to the fruits growing on the trees surrounding us, and so enjoyed fresh figs and peaches, picked from within steps of our room! The beach was lovely - one of the few sandy beaches on Samos. And, the staff, especially their onsite manager Tina, couldn't have been more helpful.

1.They said they needed my credit card just for the booking but they charged it with the whole amount without asking me and I could not pay cash. 2. They tried to give me a different room from what I booked and only when I tried to leave, the appologized and gave me the correct one. 3.If you dont like to wake up very early and like to stay in your room in the morning, forget it!!! They turn off your a/c in the morning from a main switch for economy!!! 4.They say check in 07:30- 12:00 but they let us in the room at 13:00 although the local boat arrived at 07:00!! 5.Absolutely no room service. If u need something, u go get it yourself!!! 6.If you dont have a problem with spiders, the room is fine! 7.The information about the hotel is false. There is no parking (where I stayed) and there is no mini market within 200m even if u use a helicopter! 8.The oval pool they show on the site, doesnt involve all their rooms. They have 2 seperate departments. They dont inform u what ur going to get. But for shure, that is not a big deal compared to all the rest...

Facilities, cleanliness and comfort: Very very poor. Rooms do not meet modern standards and requirements. Urgent need for renovation.

We spent a lovely quiet week in beautiful Golden sands. Tina the manager was delightfull and couldn't have been a better host. If you are looking for a relaxing week away minutes from a beautiful beach then this is the place. Five stars!

It is outside the town so very quiet if you don't rent a car Tina will call you a taxi it is six euros each way.

Perfect quite location with the most beautiful beach of the island ! Surrounded by lovely garden and nice breakfast with perfect sea vue ! Best Location to enjoy Quitness , sun , sea , light and green nature of this lovely island . This with no surrounded big hotel accomodations . The area should stay like that with no more hotels . Golden sand is with his two floors not disturbing the beautiful surrounding nature .

Everything was perfect . Only one little comment about the mattress who where too hard .

the hidden location in a fantastic mediterrane garden quite near to the sea and away from the tourism. Very familiar and typical greek- style. Good contact all the time to German manager called Tina. Nice view from the appartements towards the sea. No noise, very quiet, especially in the night. Very clean beach and water.

perhaps problems with canalisation, sometimes bad smell. I think, the beach should belong only to Golden Sands. There are too much tourists coming from outside. These people should pay min. 15 euro per person.
